March 18, 2019 For Immediate Release Grand Falls-Windsor, NL- The Tri-Pen Ice won the 2019 Bantam AAA Female Provincial Championships on Saturday in Twillingate after defeating the Central Ice Pak two games to one in the best of 3 finals. The championship team is made up of the top 13 and 14 year old female players in the region and went back to back as they were the provincial winners in 2018. The Ice are hosting the 2019 Atlantic Regional Championship being held in Clarenville, NL from April 4-7, 2019 that will feature the best players in the Atlantic provinces. The Central Ice Pak also earned the right to participate in the Atlantics as the runner-up in the provincial championships. The provincial play-off series featured three teams. The Ice also defeated the Eastern Ice Breakers in two straight games to take the semi-final series earlier in the weekend.
